Alan Wake 2 Director Has Been Working on an Unannounced Remedy Game Since Early 2025

Remedy Entertainment appears to have another unannounced project in development, and work on it may have been underway for nearly two years.

The information was spotted on the LinkedIn profile of Kyle Rowley, co-director of Alan Wake 2. According to his profile, Rowley has been serving as a co-director on an unannounced Remedy project since January 2025.

Remedy has not revealed what the game is, and there are currently no official details about its setting, genre, or release plans. Naturally, Rowley’s involvement has already led to speculation that the mysterious project could be connected to Alan Wake, potentially even a third mainline game. For now, however, there is no evidence confirming that theory.

At the moment, the only major Remedy projects publicly known to be in active development are the remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2, which the Finnish studio is producing in partnership with Rockstar Games.

If Rowley’s LinkedIn information reflects the actual development timeline, Remedy’s secret project has already been in production since the beginning of 2025 — suggesting that the studio may eventually have another sizeable game to reveal beyond its currently announced lineup.
